 While travelling to ask directions is a very common scenario every one of us has come across. We in our lives have at least helped somebody with directions. But while asking directions we always make it a point to take second opinion because we are not sure whether the person has given us the right directions or sometimes don’t understand the direction given. And we reach the right destination then well and good and if we don’t then again rely on some one else’s expert direct telling skill. But rapidly growing technology has not only excluded the dependency factor but has also amplified the level of accuracy. Initial GPS was helpful for providing information of location and time in any climatic atmosphere. Initial designs of GPS were ground based radio navigation system fabricated in early 1940s and were used during World War II. The developed GPS project was launched in 1973 which was advancement on the limitations of previous systems. The first officially released GPS system by US Department of Defense (DoD) was established on 24 satellites and went on the floors in 1994. GPS though sounds like a very small phrase but has such critical uses. We will now discuss some of such important uses of GPS and how they affect our lives.
